Bocca della Verità is an original pencil drawing on Universal watermarked paper, realized at the middle of XX century by the Surrealist artist, Eugène Berman. Monogrammed "E. B." in pencil on lower margin at the center. A beautiful original drawing with a fresh line, a typical line of a rapid sketch, representing a big tree and at his feet the mouth of truth. An interesting piece in excellent conditions to collect! Eugène Berman (Saint Petersburg, 1899 – Rome, 1972) was a Russian painter and theater and opera scenographer. His work earned the name of "Neo-Romantic" for the melancholy and the introspective features. Berman might have taken inspiration from Pablo Picasso's artworks, especially from the Blue Period paintings. This artwork is shipped from Italy.
