Original watercolor of a hunter and his dog taking a late afternoon stroll in the countryside. Signed middle bottom and dated 1852 or 1853 J. Hamilton. Condition is excellent. Sight size is 11 by 14 inches. Beautifully matted with marbleized green mat with gold leaf acorn decorated frame. Overall measurements framed are 20 by 22.25 inches. Provenance: A Sarasota, Florida estate.. James X. Hamilton (1810 - 1898) was active/lived in Canada. James Hamilton is known for Landscape.
