Description: This atmospheric coastal cityscape by Pierre Neveu depicts the historic harbour of Valletta, Malta, identified by the handwritten inscription “Malte La Valette” in the lower margin. Executed in watercolor and gouache with pencil on artists paper, the work captures the luminous calm of the Mediterranean through a restrained palette of sea greens, soft greys, and muted stone tones.
