As night approaches, the colors of the sky reflect on the pond, with the silhouette of trees filtering the fiery sunset. Water lilies pick up different hues as they recede into the distance. Fluid strokes and subtle colors capture the breathtaking and fleeting beauty of the hour.
About the Artist
Artist Onelio Marrero paints impressionist scenes of everyday life. Whether he captures the romanticism of New York City or the soothing quiet of a rippling pond, he infuses each piece with the visual magic of the moment. He creates a sense of nostalgia and intimacy with his work, offering the feeling that you have visited the same place before. “Each play of light, each texture, and each movement of a figure can have a captivating effect on me,†says Onelio. He studied at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where he mastered discerning color and values—giving him the tools to create work with superb spontaneous appearance. Onelio’s work is an appreciation for beauty in all its grandest forms; nature, art, and people.

Sherri Aldawood didn't intend to always paint flowers, but over time her love of gardens started to permeate her art. She focuses on the light and color of the flowers on the canvas. Sherri prefers alla prima, working with wet layers of paint instead of letting them dry. She keeps the paint as wet as possible by using walnut and clove oil to extend the drying time.
