About the Item

Arabic Calligraphy of praying is a precious manuscript reporting Islamic Sacred Verses in an ancient calligraphy style. One page, one-sided, in Arabic, the original sheet ( cm 17x 11) is in excellent condition and under plexiglass and framed in an ebony wooden frame (cm 34.5 x 2.3 x 28.5). The smaller words of the script are hard to read. The script is in black ink with just one word in red ink. In this unique sheet, there are two parts reading: left side, smaller words start from up to the end of the sheet and turns delicately towards up counterclockwise. Bigger words of the script, in the right side, are kind of Islamic verses and praying. Which with a single word of “Allah” in red ink, is emphasized on the importance of God’s name and made a separation with the other words of script in black ink. There is a pencil mark, up left of the sheet, it seems to be Arabic numeral of 91 and 94. This valuable piece beautifully demonstrates the intention of the calligrapher to send his religious message, which is “The God is greater than all and His Name is distinct from the whole script”. This unique manuscript is well built, both in its structure and composition while harmonizing with the concept of calligraphy which makes it a decent and noble piece of art suit for any wall and salon.
