About the Item

This is a one of a kind original painting by Southern California artist Gianna Tesone. The painting is 72" x 180" x 1.5" (HxWxD). It is acrylic and oil pastel on canvas, it is an unframed triptych. A certificate of authenticity will follow delivery. Inspired by the tension of juxtaposition, Gianna’s boldly visceral work analyzes the unfolding patterns of human behavior, power of perception, and the cause and effect of free will and is a convergence of design, color psychology, neuroscience, physiology and integrated wellness. This multi-hyphenate perspective elevates the work to serve as a method of story telling and breathes life into its own genre as a synthesis of abstraction and behavioral neuroscience. “Neuro-Expressionism” integrates an epidemiological approach into the creative process and examines how a choice creates mutation and thus, a deviation away from natural design by use of bold color, structural repetition and layering of material. In her recent work, evidence of prior and current influences introduces a renaissance of reconnection. This explores the understanding of human beings’ relationship with self and the awareness of “visceral” impressions that emotion has on the vital organs and how each manifests itself within the body over time. Using color, deeply layered texture and reference to personal experience and research, this work embodies the connection between the seen and unseen.

Untitled (Triptych 5) : contemporary abstract work of art

Untitled (Triptych 5) : contemporary abstract work of art

By Gerald Wolfe

Located in New York, NY

Abstract geometric artwork by a contemporary artist Gerald Wolfe. Gerald Wolfe’s wall pieces have a three-dimensional, architectural feel. The artist’s approach to his paintings is intuitive. He meticulously creates his works step by step, imbuing shapes and lines with energy. The interplay of forms, color, and texture creates tension between flatness and depth. His work can become a unique gift and will be a wonderful addition to any space, be it a living room of a modern home or a lobby of a commercial building. Gerald Wolfe received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Maryland in 1972, discovered his interest in art and went on to study fine arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. In the summer of 1974, he also studied at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. From his first show in 1979, a summer invitational at OK Harris Gallery, Gerald has shown his work on a consistent basis in New York, including such galleries as Denise Bibro Fine Art, NYC, and Kim Foster Gallery, NYC . In addition, he has had solo exhibits at the Paterson Museum in Paterson, New Jersey...
