About the Item

In this work, the artist reflects on the idea that true inner transformation begins not when fear disappears, but when it loses its power to determine our actions and no longer compels us to retreat. Meeting the Deep, Eyes Open speaks to the moment when a person first comes face to face with the unknown. What once existed only as a vague sense of unease becomes a tangible presence. At that moment , there is no need for immediate conclusions or rational explanations. What matters is simply to remain present, to observe, and to feel. To meet the deep with eyes open is to accept what cannot be fully controlled or explained. The simple willingness to remain in that encounter becomes the foundation for genuine trust in one's own inner world. series Deep Within Myself Depth is not a place. It is a way of seeing the world. The Deep Within Myself series explores depth as an inner territory where the personal intersects with the archetypal. The realm of blue—from luminous light to near-impenetrable darkness—becomes a field of the unconscious, a space of memory, instinct, embodied knowledge, and primordial force. The series emerged from the experience of an inner descent and a gradual approach toward what initially inspired fear through its vastness and mystery. In these works, depth is not only a psychological metaphor but also a world governed by its own laws. Human figures, water, archetypal beings, animals, and darkness coexist as equal manifestations of a single reality. They do not invite literal interpretation, nor are they reduced to symbols. Their presence creates a space where intuition, embodied memory, and rational knowledge exist side by side. The image of the Witch runs throughout the series as an archetype of feminine presence. She neither resists the unknown nor seeks to master it. Her strength lies in the ability to remain close to what cannot be fully understood or explained. The title Deep Within Myself refers not only to a journey inward but also to a way of living in relationship with that depth—without the need to dissolve it in explanations or strip it of its mystery. Within this space, fear gradually gives way to trust, and the unknown becomes part of lived experience.
