Born to French parents in Roxbury, Connecticut, in 1918, Beigneux received her formal art training at the National Academy of Design in New York, studying under Gifford Beal, Sidney Dickinson, and Ivan Olinsky, and later continued her studies at the Art Students League of New York with Jon Corbino and Jean Liberté.
