About the Item

The painting conveys the idea that what we perceive as life may be an illusion, while the true reality remains hidden. At the center of the scene, a man and a woman stand by a pool, deep in thought, surrounded by animals—a meerkat, a black cat, and an alligator—that add a surreal and unpredictable quality to the scene. The dark sky and desert landscape with architectural elements emphasize the contrast between nature and civilization, inviting the viewer to reflect on where the boundary between reality and fantasy truly lies. Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam and Italian canvas tm Unico were used. The finish is satin varnish, and the ends are painted in the background color. Part of the “Life in Avatar” series, it is created on and shipped on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame. The painting is packed in a cardboard box with bubble wrap. The artwork is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
