A charming coastal scene in the manner of William Collins (1788-1847), depicting a husband and wife fishing couple standing with their nets and baskets, gazing wistfully out towards the sea and dramatic sky. Signed 'G. J. Barnes' to the lower left. Well presented in an inscribed gilt frame. On canvas on stretchers. Image size: 24.5 x 29.5cm.
