"Sunday Service, a lovely mid-century figurative village street scene by Frank Serratoni (American, 1908-1970), c. 1940s. A family is shown strolling through the tree-lined street of a quaint village towards a red church. Signed "Frank Serratoni" bottom right. Displayed in a period wood frame with burlap liner. Image size: 17.5"H x 23.25"W. Frank attended select classes at the Chicago Art Institute. In the late 1940s he moved to San Francisco, California. Frank Serratoni is known for using a half tone screen to print a basic outline and then hand-watercolor painted his entire work. Serratoni watercolors hang in the Fairmount Hotel in San Francisco, CA and the exclusive Olympic men's club.
