A landscape reveals a hazy blue tower rising in the distance. A bright cloud streak floats above, while a bridge-like structure cuts diagonally across the scene. Yellow lines and wisps of red grass fill the right side of the composition, suggesting an opening into a new setting.
About the Artist
Artist George Peebles paints atmospheric displays of panoramic landscapes and integrates whimsical abstractions as compelling spectacles. Breathtaking combinations of brilliant hues and rich gradients map out his introspective compositions. “My art is a reflection of the place inside each of us where we connect to nature,†says George. He paints each stroke with an inward expression of his emotions, painting from memory. George finished his BA at Kendall College of Art Design but remains to see his practice as a lifetime learning process. Born with red/green colorblindness, he expresses his unique perception through avant-garde approaches. His new concepts and ideas come alive at his home studio in Michigan as he draws inspiration from electric moments within his environment. Outside the studio, he works as a chef at a local hospital, where he gets to share his art and illuminate everyone's day.

George Peebles is an award-winning artist specializing in contemporary landscape oils. He is a resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he attended Kendall College of Art and Design. His paintings are characterized by their pleasing combination of brilliant hues and rich skies. He describes his art as a reflection of the place inside each of us where we connect to nature. Painted from memory, each stroke is an inward expression of his emotions. Peebles views his work as a lifelong process that leads him to new concepts and ideas best expressed on his canvas. Peebles is known for his dramatic fall landscapes and panoramic ocean vistas. He enjoys painting brief, electric moments in nature. Peebles draws on his surroundings in Michigan but ultimately paints entirely from his imagination.
