California Lupine Fields - Landscape with Wildflowers Impressionistic landscape of California by Kathleen Murray (American, b. 1957). This piece depicts foothills and Sycamore trees, along with a meadow laden with Lupines and California poppies. The green tones of the landscape are brightened with the purple hues from the lupine and the bright dots of orange from the poppies. Signed "Murray" lower left. Unframed. Canvas size: 16"H x 20"W. Kathleen Murray (American, b. 1958) was born in Los Angeles, California. In the early 1970s, Murray spent three years in Europe studying art and languages at the American School in Switzerland (TASIS) and a year in Italy at St. Michael's School outside Florence. She resides in the Monterey Bay where she is well known for her deeply saturated and textured oil seascapes and landscapes of Carmel, Big Sur, and surrounding Coastal areas.
