Silvana Ilieva is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist working across painting, drawing, sculpture, handmade paper, and textile.Her practice is positioned at the intersection of modern and contemporary art and sculptural decorative objects, with nature as material, subject, and artistic position in her collectible works. She graduated in Painting from the National School of Fine Arts, continued her studies in Set and Screen Design at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, explored Digital Arts, and later obtained a Master’s degree in Fiber Arts from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. Ilieva’s work is driven by a search for the hidden harmony between humans, the Earth, and the universe. She works with space and rhythm, often drawing inspiration from natural processes and materials, which she intricately weaves into her contemporary compositions. Through the fusion of image and abstraction, her works blur the boundaries between the material and the metaphorical. Her pieces radiate an emotional synthesis—a quiet yet powerful presence that invites the viewer into a shared act of perception. By employing diverse techniques and media, Ilieva seeks maximum freedom of artistic expression. Silvana Ilieva has participated in numerous contemporary art exhibitions, competitions, and international showcases, and has received awards for her work. She is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA).
