A beautiful three-quarter length portrait of a young lady, painted in the Romantic style typical of the early Victorian period. The subject adopts a slightly averted gaze with an elegant over-the-shoulder pose. Notable features include brunette ringlet curls framing her face and an off-the-shoulder white chemisette with puffed sleeves, adorned with a pearl brooch. Presented in an ebonised and gilt frame. Unsigned. On canvas laid down. Image size: 29 x 21.5cm.
