About the Item

Vodka on the Rocks with A Sprig Realism Cocktail 14" x 11" Pop Art Drinking Vodka on the Rocks Is Weird" Vodka on the rocks" refers to serving vodka poured directly over ice cubes in a rocks glass, designed to chill the spirit, soften its bite, and create a refreshing,, crisp experience. While often enjoyed as a simple drink, it is famously captured as a unisex aromatic fragrance Artist's Statement: I am an American Representational artist and my Realism paintings exhibit strong graphic design and Pop art influences. My original Cocktails glass series represents a significant transitional period for me. This is where I played with a sort of softer Pop art style that shows my Realism paintings. My work as a whole is truly about harmony, movement and it wants to heard and seen loud and clear. Born in 1963, Miller Lives in East Hampton, NY and although primarily a self taught painter he studied at the Fashion Institute, and Painting at The School of Visual Arts in New York City. He learned his sense of composition while working as the Photographer’s assistant to Ken Haak, a legendary Fashion Photographer of the 70s and 80s. Miller, as a photographer, produced and authored a photographic coffee table book, the “The Hamptons, Long Island’s East End”, published by Rizzoli in 1993. Ken’s work has appeared in Town & Country, Vogue Italia, German Vogue, Cote Sud, Tatler, Reader’s Digest, Hamptons Magazine, International Magazine, The New York Times and Cote Quest. Other Clients have included Banana Republic, Phat Farm and St. Martin’s Press. Miller’s paintings are in numerous private collections.
