About the artist: Johannes Josephus (Jan) Hovener (1936) Johannes Josephus (Jan) Hovener was born in Rotterdam on 14th August, 1936. Hovener enjoyed the study at the Rotterdam Academy. After his studies, Hovener won the Talens Prize in 1959.
