About the Item

#2 from the Edition of 5 Signed and numbered Unframed With Certificate The artistic search of the author stems from the three dualisms of reality and abstraction, objectivity and perception, perfection and chaos. Being predominant the dichotomy between reality and abstraction, the choice can only fall on the photographic medium, the perfect instrument to capture reality as it appears. Wanting to underline the impossibility of portraying an objective reality, the artist’s challenge lies in creating a photograph that is pure, without subsequent manipulation, leading to doubt any objectivity. The thinking is built on two principles. The first is the universe’s innate impossibility to reach true physical perfection, if not through the mental abstraction of the one who is experiencing it, in their own personal and unique way. The second is the doubt towards the impartiality of each of our perspectives, as they are mere subjective interpretations of a reality we cannot hope to fully understand.
