About the Item

Unknown Artist Nixon + Spiro - Zero, 1968 Extremely rare vintage 1960s Offset lithograph poster 28 × 22 inches Publisher Published by Joe A. Kennedy; printed by Provo Press Unframed, unnumbered, unframed Extremely rare political poster Nixon and his running mate Spiro Agnew were elected twice, in 1968 and then in 1972 In 1968, The Republican nominee, former vice president Richard Nixon, defeated both the Democratic nominee, incumbent vice president Hubert Humphrey, and the American Independent Party nominee, former Alabama governor George Wallace. And in 1972, Nixon Agnew beat anti-War Liberal George McGovern in a landslide. This political poster features the Republican elephant image, a famous Confederate image from the previous century, along with anti-Nixon text. We don't know who designed the poster, and can't seem to find any other examples on the market at the present time which is very surprising.
