Lenore Simon was born in New York in 1928. She majored in fine art at Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. She attended printmaking workshops at the New School in New York and intaglio workshops at the Art Center of Northern New Jersey. Later, Simon taught fundamentals of drawing as a part of the University of California extension program.
