About the Item

LUDWIK MACIĄG (b. 1920- d.2007) Studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academies of Fine Arts in Cracow and Warsaw. He graduated in 1951. He was a professor and a dean of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw between 1969 and 1972. Author of many book illustrations, posters, postage stamps designs. One of the best contemporary landscape and battle painters. He participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, among others in Germany, Denmark, Spain, Canada, the USA, the Netherlands and in the UK. PROVENANCE Exhibited at Katarzyna Napiorkowska Gallery. The Gallery is a primary representative for this artist. The Gallery of Katarzyna Napiorkowska is one of the first private art galleries in Poland. For over 30 years, the gallery has been presenting contemporary paintings, graphics, drawings, and sculptures. Our galleries are located in Warsaw and Brussels. The portfolio of the Gallery includes selected objects of renowned Polish artists. In 2015, our Gallery was awarded the prestigious title of the Ambassador of the Polish Economy in the European Brand category awarded by the Business Center Club. CONDITION Very good condition.
