This artwork represents an actress of the Comédie Française in fairy costume. Titled and described on the bottom center. On the lower left margin is written A Paris ches Berey rue s. Jacques a la Princesse de Saveye. On the lower right margin is written Avec Privilege. Good conditions.

Gavarni's father, Sulpice Chevalier, was from a family line of coopers from Burgundy.
