About the Item

The Bridge is a beautiful etching artwork realized by Jan Peter Verdussen in 1745. In good condition except for missing piece of paper and ripping along the margins. Passepartout included (39 x57.5 cm). The artwork represents the scenery of the bridge in the landscape. The artwork is depicted skillfully through confident and soft strokes with well-balanced composition. Jan Peeter Verdussen (1700 - 1763) was a Flemish painter, draftsman, and printmaker. He is known mainly for his battle scenes, incidents of camp life and equestrian paintings.
