Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Lamy, New Mexico. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.

Patty deGrandpre’s “Mimeograph” is a unique abstract 6.25 x 10 inch inkjet print on 9 x 13 inch photo paper in black and white that incorporates a picture taken of a broken television screen. The contrasting hues, grain, and delineated circle of this monochromatic abstract print suggests a mimeograph or carbon copy and is from her “Broken Television” series. Patty deGrandpre’s small contemporary works have a powerful effect as the viewer is compelled to look closer at the layers and hues.
