Patty deGrandpre’s “Shows about Nature 3” is a unique abstract 5 x 5 inch inkjet print on 8 x 10 inch rag paper in striated purples and greens that incorporates a picture taken of a broken television screen. The vibrant colors and tones of this delicate abstract print suggests a landscape of mountains or perhaps water and is from her “Broken Television” series. Patty deGrandpre’s small contemporary works have a powerful effect as the viewer is compelled to look closer at the layers and hues.
