About the Item

Beautiful poster of Paul Colin to participate in blood donation. Paul Colin is an artist, graphic designer and painter of theater. During his life, he created more than 1900 posters and worked in the field of theater for over 40 years. Influenced by surrealism and cubism, he generally used very exaggerated shapes, striking colors and highly stylized art forms in his work. He used a broad color palette to emphasize the energy and meaning conveyed by his subjects, and his art is strongly in the style of the Art Deco movement. "Donate today receive tomorrow, participate in blood donation, answer the call of the blood centers" This distinctive poster calls for blood donation. The poster was administered by the French Ministry of Public Health. Medical Give today to receive tomorrow Bedos & Cie Paris

1943 Original french propaganda poster from WWII - Working in Nazi Germany

Located in PARIS, FR

Since 1940, and throughout the war, many foreign volunteers chose to work in Germany, whether for ideological reasons or, more often, for wages or even the release of close prisoners. Indeed, due to the ever-increasing need for men in the army, the mines, industry and agriculture lacked the manpower to support the war effort. As a prime target for this search, Vichy France...
