19th century English Staffordshire pink/red and white transferware oval charger or platter in Columbus pattern by William Adams & Sons, Initialed and impressed mark "Adams".

The manufacturer Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co., operated 1862-1904 in the Staffordshire pottery area. The platter is marked with the maker's mark and the pattern name, MEISSEN.
