Family Home von Cravotta Interiors in Austin, TX
Built in 1922, around the oldest Burr Oak tree in Austin. The design had to earn that.
Hyde Park was Austin's first planned subdivision. The house at Avenue H was built in 1922, and it was built around a Burr Oak tree that was already old. Mark Cravotta has lived here with his daughters. This is his own home.
Original elements sit alongside considered additions. Nothing is precious. Everything is intentional. The house holds its history lightly and wears thirty years of a life in design without showing the effort.
