About the Item

Magnificent 1930's black lace gown. Black lace overlay on a black slip with beige detail at the bodice and back. Sculptural tiers of layered lace and black acetate create the dramatic flutter sleeve silhouette. This motif is repeated in the tiered mermaid-esque silhouette at the bottom hem of the dress. Rows of tiered lace create a fluttering at the foot for a beautiful element of romance. A few small holes in the acetate have been repaired on the flutter shoulders and hem, but are only noticeable from the underside. Otherwise great vintage condition.
