About the Item

Valentino Boutique early 1960s wool tweed skirt suit, a nod to Christian Dior's Bar suit. Done in a moss green & cream dog tooth check, the jacket & skirt are trimmed in coordinating olive green & yellow wool braid trim. The long sleeve jacket closes at the front with green buttons, it is fitted through the torso and hip to outline the body. Notched lapel collar & button sleeve cuffs. The matching skirt has a 2" wide waist band and a lightly gathered skirt with on seam hip side pockets. The skirt has braid trim at the hem line. Closes at the waist with double bar hooks at the waist back & a painted metal zipper below. Both pieces are lined in crepe. Marked size 4, fits a modern size 2 or small 4. In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
