About the Item

Huge and Enchanting Late 19th Century Moon Face Clock Tower Hands. This striking pair of huge iron and tole tower clock hands exude historic grandeur, featuring gilded moon faces on one side and directional arrows on the other. Their impressive scale suggests they once adorned a monumental tower clock, guiding the passage of time with elegance. The gilded moon faces, now softened by age, contrast beautifully with the time worn patina of the iron. Although the moon faces are the star of the show the intricate silhouette of the directional arrows add a dynamic touch. These hands embody a perfect blend of craftsmanship, artistry, function and history. Pointed hands, with Gilt Moon faces. Iron and Tole. Rare and impressive. Bespoke made mounting plate to display and move hands into any position for display. France Circa 1860.
