About the Item

Primitive unlacquered brass cast brass door pulls attached to long, slim backplates. These have a patinated finish that has developed beautifully and naturally over the past 60-70 years. They date to the 1950s and were sourced in a mountain town in Colorado. The proportions of the back plates feel extremely Minimalist and simple, with the cast handles adding a Midcentury Modern or Machine Age feel. The combination of styles lends this pair a seductive look and feel. One immediately wants to touch and feel them. We envision them on sliding doors into a kitchen, home office, or as the hardware for doors to a luxurious closet that one would enter from inside a primary bedroom. The installation is straightforward and simple, with pre-drilled holes that would allow for brass, flush-mount screws directly into a door surface.
