About the Item

A large bronze door handle in the form of an owl. European, second half 20th century. The handle is nicely made of cast bronze. The shape is broadly concave on the reverse, with good ergonomic form. Good vintage condition throughout with age-appropriate signs of wear; some green oxidation and changing tones from handling and weathering. Installation is through two fixed bolts on the reverse; nuts and washers included. Approximate dimensions: Height 21.5cm x Width 12cm x D* 9cm * Projection from door, including bronze spacers, but not including the threaded bolts, which extend by a further 12cm (approximately). Approximate weight 3.7kg
