Late 18th or early 19th century French Neoclassical Period fireback with two pillars of freedom. The pillars symbolize the value of liberty, one of the three values of the French revolution. The fireback is made of cast iron and has a brown patina. Upon request, it can be made black/pewter colored with stove polish at no extra cost. The fireback is in good condition and can be used in the fireplace or as a backsplash. This product weighs more than 65 kg / 143 lbs.
