About the Item

Pair of Gainey Matte Glazed Ceramic Planters, circa 2000s. Executed in matte white and off-white glazed ceramic. A very clean and increasingly rare example attributed to iconic ceramics manufacturer Gainey Ceramics. Drilled, structurally sound and highly presentable. Unmarked. Gainey Ceramics has been in the business of manufacturing the finest quality hand-crafted containers for more than 40 years, spanning 3 generations. Gainey pioneered functional yet visually appealing plant containers, becoming the choice of professional architects, landscapers, interior and exterior designers throughout the midcentury era. Price is for the pair. Note that the color of the glaze differs slightly between the planters, but both planters in similarly good condition and present well as a pair. Also available individually in separate listings. Please note that these pieces are from our personal collection and are currently being used by us as planters; as a result, some additional age appropriate wear including water marks, mineral deposits and soiling are present. Some hairline cracks, but pieces are structurally sound. Drilled. Some age appropriate patina, dings, scuffs and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Additional photos available upon request.
