About the Item

Vintage Cast Heavy Bronze 2 Swans Compote or Pedestal Bowl. The handmade design is wonderful example of Victorian and Regency decor with two ornate Swans facing outwards with their necks intertwining creating the stem. The round base is heavy cast bronze with a ground edge on the foot. The bowl is attached by pin and has a paneled design on the interior. The piece likely dates circa to the 1930s. Marked Made in India, and numbered GU-145. In good vintage condition, free of chips, cracks, bends and breaks. As seen in the photos the bowl has a wonderful antique patina with some oxidization in the center. The patina could be polished should one choose, but we love the beauty of naturally aged Metal. It's a great piece of Victorian or Hollywood Regency Decor. Measurements: Height: 10.75 inches. Diameter Top: 8.63 inches. Base Diameter: 6 inches. A-410-335
