About the Item

Striking and beautifully made from speckled serpentine and bronze by a French artist, this Egyptian Revival / Art Deco footed bowl or centerpiece features a wide, shallow bowl supported by three bronze sphinx figures. The stone has a rich, mottled figuration and the bronze elements have a rich, deep patina. The artist's signature is visible on the bottom, though it is difficult to decipher. This piece is substantial and probably unique.
