About the Item

Murano glass bowl made using the Sommerso technique with a fantastic organic shape. The bowl has a free, sculptural form, with inwardly folded edges that create a sinuous, asymmetrical profile. The "submerged" technique involves overlapping layers of glass of different colors to create a depth effect. Here we see an inner core in an amber/honey shade, wrapped in an outer layer of smoked glass (dark brown). Due to the thickness of the crystal and the curvature of the edges, light is refracted so that the colors appear to be suspended in each other, creating warm and enveloping hues
