Vintage South Asian / Kashmir hand painted and gilt decorated papier mâché bowl - large size - featuring a colorful and extensive floral pattern within roundels set against a black lacquer background - high gloss finish - remnants of original paper label to the base - unsigned - India - early 20th century. Excellent vintage condition - all original - irregular shape - crack to the rim (see photo) - minor scuffs, paint loss and chips - wear to the edges of the base - no repairs or restoration - signs of age and use. Size/Dimensions - Large - 12 1/4" Diameter x 4 3/4" High.
