Sölvehyttan, Sweden Large art glass bowl, 1970s. Large free-form bowl in mouth-blown glass, clear with violet hue and enclosed air bubbles creating an optical texture. An elegant and sculptural example of Swedish studio glass from the 1970s, executed with technical precision and a sense of fluid movement. Origin: Sweden. Designer: Sölvehyttan Glasbruk. Material: Mouth-blown glass. Dimensions: H. 10 cm, D. 17 cm, L. 42 cm. Period: 1970s. Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear. Sölveshyttan Glasbruk, based in Småland, Sweden, was active during the mid-20th century. The workshop produced both art glass and utilitarian pieces in distinctive colours and forms, often featuring bubbles or optical effects. Like many small Swedish glassworks of the period, Sölvehyttan combined traditional craftsmanship with experimental design, making its works highly collectible today.
