A fine French Art Nouveau pottery plate or bowl. In the form of a shallow square bowl with rounded corners and a raised center. By Alexandre Bigot. Bigot was one of the foremost manufacturers of ceramics during the French Art Nouveau period and produced the works of a plethora of artists and designers during this time. Simply a great piece of French Art Nouveau ceramics! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Condition Details: There are some wear to the glaze. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Alexandre Bigot Marks: Signed to the base of the bowl with a crescent moon mark, stamped 'A Bigot' & and incised 'Bigot'. Measurements: Width: ca. 5 1/4 in. Depth: ca. 5 1/4 in.
