About the Item

A green and gold ceramic round box by La Colonnata in the manner of Gio Ponti. This small factory established in Sesto Fiorentino, town famous for hand-crafted ceramic. Domed and decorated with elaborate gold-leaf filigree scrolls and floral patterns. It is topped with a sculptural, V-shaped gold finial that includes a small heart indentation in the center. A wide, cylindrical base defined by a series of horizontal gold bands that wrap around the circumference, creating a textured, "ringed" appearance. The box it's in very good conditions overall. It is a beautifully crafted and elegantly designed piece. Its sleek shape, vibrant green and gold color scheme, and high-quality ceramic construction make it a perfect example of mid-century modern design and Italian craftsmanship. This box not only serves a practical purpose but also adds a touch of vintage sophistication to any decor.
