Elegant vintage jewelry or cigar box, attributed to Erhard & Söhne, Germany, early to mid-20th century.
This finely crafted box is made of gilt brass and richly decorated with intricate black and gold ornamentation inspired by Moorish and Orientalist design. The lid features dense arabesque scrollwork framed by a geometric cartouche, while the sides are adorned with a repeating stylized floral motif, creating a highly decorative and luxurious appearance.
Raised on four small feet, the box has a hinged lid with a fitted interior, suitable for use as a jewelry box, keepsake box, or cigar box. The strong graphic contrast and refined detailing are characteristic of high-quality German metalwork from the period and closely align with known designs by Erhard & Söhne.
