About the Item

This artwork uses mother of pearl to re-interpret 'A Bull,' which is an iconic work by one of the most celebrated South Korean artists in modern and contemporary painting, Lee Jung-seob. His painting, reflecting the social atmosphere of his time, delivers a message of consolation and hope. The artwork portrays a bull which has gained wisdom about life after overcoming many hardships and is now ready to calmly rise above any crisis it faces without fear. As the bull attempts to take a step forward, it pauses and assumes a peaceful yet solemn expression, to soberly communicate, "As I have done today, I will keep walking on my path tomorrow. I will take one step at a time." Such a spirit of will and determination dazzles ever more boldly through the radiance of mother of pearl.
