He had searched all the city's antique and jewelry shops, but nothing had entirely satisfied him. Then he found a little, round, gilded, painted white and blue Opaline glass box with a lovely floral pattern all around it embellished with blue outlines, and he knew he had to have it. It was immediately obvious to him that this was the ideal receptacle for the ring. The box was a work of art, created in France between 1850 and 1900, and it left Jean-Luc speechless.
