Brass bound Regency period rosewood document box by Wells & Lambe with brass edges, geometric line inlay and flush mounted skeletal lift handles. The top with a monogramed rectangular plaque with outset corners matching the escutcheon plate on the front (working lock and key). The interior fitted with a document pocket in the lid and retaining the Wells & Lambe label.
