About the Item

A studio craft, handmade box. The main box is created in a clean cube of figured American walnut. The lid and angular "legs" are of maple, and at the very top, a detailed cast bronze bird skull pull sits and acts as a pull for to lift the lid; rounded brass pins connect the "legs" to the main walnut cube. This is a sophisticated piece of artistry, yet quite whimsical as well. It would make a lovely presentation gift box for an engagement ring, or any special jewelry gift. It would also be stunning bedside, on a night stand, as a secure place to drop jewelry at the end of the day. This is a conversation-starter and a striking piece for just about anywhere you decide to display it.
