This is a beautiful papier mâché, circular lacquered set of 2 cups, which we attribute to being made in Japan during the early 20th century, circa 1910. This is a very decorativeset of cups with a delicately hand-painted scene. The base color is black with the painting and gold gilt, all in varying shades.
