About the Item

Antique 18th century English George III satinwood and mahogany tea caddy circa 1790. Elegant size and proportions with choice flame and crotch/burl woods. Original brass bail handle and interior knops on the three mahogany compartment lids. Retains original lining in the tea compartments. Measures 9 3/8" x 4 7/8" x 4 7/8" tall. Beautiful color and patina. A few scattered age cracks and a small missing piece of edge inlay on the back of the lid. Presents beautifully.
