About the Item

Sculptural and unusual, this vintage Chinese candelabra is layered with blessings of success and happiness. Shaped of copper with a lovely dark patina, the lamp has six candle dishes extended on curving arms and an upper lantern that houses an additional light. The square lantern is perforated with round medallions of plum blossoms and cranes, motifs for endurance and longevity. A dragon winds up the stem in low relief, a symbol of strength and success, and three bats adorn the base, harbingers of imminent happiness. Multiple candle spikes have been lost.
